car is up and running, found broken wire in ecu loom, thank you to all those that helped

kiwivolvo - most excellent conclusion.

It would be great in a week or so of driving you circle back and write up a recap. Summarize the differences in the two motors, what you moved over and what you kept and of course driving differences. It will be great info for future users.

Do you have the ECM and turbo from the donor car? If so take a picture of the labels from both ECMs and post them.

Maybe we can work out what it would take to get the 2.3 engine up to full T5 performance.

only got the motor from the donor car, spoke to dismantlers, engine was out of C70, turbo and ecu was missing out of the car

i had to cut alot of plugs off the loom the engine came with and solder them onto the loom in the car, i must of damaged the loom when i removed motor hence why no comms with the engine and trans module, it was a big job for me but i learnt alot and the car seems to be going great.
