I’m not quite a stock or proven partsNazi as June but I am close.

These car parts from Sweden/Belgium shipment last 20 years/ 200k miles, the cheap parts just don’t.

They are right for some, if you are going to drive it lightly for five years buying 20 year parts is arguably questionable, but in general I buy the top shelf part and cry once.

...and it’s not too late.

LOL, no worries, I may not have the car another 5 years....or maybe my boys will be driving it....who knows.

I don't drive as much as I used to, especially nowadays.

Everyone has different budgets & different wishes.
Choose something you are comfortable with, which also fits within budget. When I did the overhaul, I bought new Bilstein B4 shocks all around and Vogtland lowering springs. I am a little bit dissappointed in the lowering part, but the springs are good value for money regarding build quality & quality of the ride.

Almost non-existent lowering...Almost seems like I bought the wrong springs, but there is only 1 set available for S80 from Vogtland. Also note, the rear springs are still original as I don't have the proper spring compressor (I tried 2 variants) to get them out. Apparantly, its a lot easier on S60 P2 chassis.

Thanks man, still enjoy every drive. Especially when the 3" turboback exhaust is warmed up, the 5 cilinder sounds are amazing (Japanifold for the win!)

Excuse the delay in responding as I was away.

To MoVolvos: P.P.S.#61435971 for the forward, horizontal bushing mailed by a friend in England. P.P.S. (Professional Parts Sweden) doesn't have a good reputation, however I believe these to have been made by a good factory as the fit was perfect and the finish was smooth and uniform.
The LCA rear, vertical bushings were Deeza #VL-R101.

In use 5.5 years so far. No noises.

Well, I got the new strut assemblies in from 1AAuto. Not too bad, but boy if you're not careful you'll need new brake lines. I'm really glad I had my boys there to assist with another set of hands. I decided not to replace the sway bar end links, as the ones in there aren't that old and they felt pretty good to me.

The ride isn't dreamy smooth, but, all things considered, at 260k+ miles, I'm not complaining. its a FAAAAAR sight better than it was, and *bonus* I no longer scrape the underside of the car when I pull into the driveway.
