2005 V70 2.5t AWD ticking/rattling Topic is solved

Culprit was the angle sleeve collar, quite shredded. They checked all my engine mounts, driveshaft, axles (both wheels were off as they also changed front rotors and pads).

So far I haven't even heard the slightest hint of that sound driving it home

They were ready to replace the whole bevel gear box but it looked to be in good shape. Probably put $6000 in repairs into this car over 3 months, but it drives like it's brand new now!

Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same noise at low speeds/quick acceleration but then it'll quit after 5 or so seconds. Wondering if there's any advice or insight you might have

Jack the car up and see if you can turn the propshaft. If it turns independent of the transmission it will be the collar sleeve or bevel gear splines. You'll have to get all fours off the ground, may also be bevel gear pinion bearing but that will also be evidenced by gear oil leakage where the output shaft meets the propshaft.
