As I’ve been driving ever so carefully... part of my tailpipe broke off. πŸ˜‚ I guess from impact.

Anywho, I have to drive it 30 mins on the freeway to get this fixed on Monday. To avoid further damage, is it safe to just remove the shock? It’s just bouncin around..

But hey, my broken bolt came out! Along with the welded nut. 🎊

Oops  , all these years but I'll blame it on Bessie's low standards for skipping a grade. Only two years in SF then East Bay till 2005. East Bay included Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Danville, Dublin and Livermore. Biking a 4 mile radius from home was normal as a kid or walking 45 minutes to school rain or shine and stomping on puddles  . Not a care in the world.
.
Blessings,

Keep us posted and with some pictures if possible, not after it's done and painted. Does not look like sheet metal, perhaps Aluminum but I thought Aluminum didn't rust?

More threadjack: There were no stop lights in Dublin when we moved there. Same experience - lived on the bike, roamed widely, including most nooks and crannies up and down that entire Pleasanton-Dublin-Danville corridor. Too hot and dry out the Livermore way, we grew tired of heading that direction.

No lights? And we thought Walnut Creek was far, Tri-Valley was Kansas and Fremont . Where have all the good times gone? I think someone sung about that.
