Yeah, that would have been a really bad dayvolvolugnut wrote: ↑14 Nov 2022, 18:35This reads like it did not dump fuel on the ferry. Which might cause lots of excitement.

Spill in aisle 2 ! That's quite a gusher, especially at $4/gal.abscate wrote: ↑16 Nov 2022, 04:57Yeah, that would have been a really bad dayvolvolugnut wrote: ↑14 Nov 2022, 18:35This reads like it did not dump fuel on the ferry. Which might cause lots of excitement.

At least none of the fasteners are gunky.
There is nothing quite like a fire at sea to get your attention. I would rather not tell how I know.

Hit the MAF sensor with some CRC cleaner for maintenance purposes. Checked oil and it was still in the good and not being consumed. Fixed a connector on a headlight so all 4 lights are now going (2fogs 2 mains). Going to clean my partners MAP sensor soon with the same cleaner.

Looked under Blue Steel’s hood to check the coolant level and saw these cracks where I’d seen some weeping over the summer.
Why hasn’t it leaked? Can I JB Weld it, or is it an urgent replacement? I’m guessing the latter.

Did you feel any difference from the MAF cleaning? I don’t believe mines ever been done.
I did nothing to my V70 today, except drive it!
It was the first longer journey, 150 mile round trip since doing a fair bit of engine & suspension work with refurbed 16” steels, Michelin crossclimate 2s and an alignment. I really appreciated how different it felt to a month before, smoother engine and stable, solid ride. It felt great to drive and that’s what it’s all about at the end of the day!

I wouldn't run the risk to see the situation to deteriorate further. I suppose JD Welt is a type of cold weld. My car has 23 Yo. To me, each part touched needs to be replace. But the budget is also to keep in mind. To me, I would replace it. Difficult to do some "new" with some "old"...brunocerous wrote: ↑19 Nov 2022, 15:30 Looked under Blue Steel’s hood to check the coolant level and saw these cracks where I’d seen some weeping over the summer.

Local travel only Bruno. That white residue has plugged the cracks but the if that lets go there will be a big coolant loss
Definite;y gorp someJB on each crack to get through the holiday week(s) then reward her with a new Nissens ftom FCP and two new radiator hoses. Do you want some cool kid oetiker clamps so you can gloat over your uneducated brother?
