Starter Motor OEM
Hi, new to the forum and have a noob question. What's the OEM (Denso?) and spec for the starter motor on 2010 XC90 V8? I want to find what other cars used them and hopefully buy the same motor, perhaps with a different sticker on it, from a lower cost dealership...

OEM is Denso. Volvo Exchange (36000040) is pricey, you might find another manufacturer producing them but all I've ever used is Volvo.
If the starter is dragging you can open it up and clean/regrease the bearings. Not sure how long that will last but it might be worth a try (need new rear bank coolant gasket). Photos of an original starter from a 2008 V8 with 150k miles here- https://photos.app.goo.gl/vUuk4zumJ49sABun8
