1995 850 GLT wagon wheel size

Post by Joe252002 »

All:

Just came across your site and am thrilled with all the great info being shared. Looking forward to getting my knuckles banged up getting into some of these projects. Keep up the good work....

Question: I own a 1995 850 GLT wagon which I "inherited" after we got my wife an SUV for towing the kids around town. I love the 850 and would like to start getting serious with her. I can't seem to come across any details on what tire sizes, bolt patterns, etc 850 will accept and not accept. I'm sure you guys have some helpful info for an old guy still trying to be cool. Thanks for your time.

Unless the USA Spec is different on a GLT tyre should could one either 195/60/15 or 205/55/16 [no idea on imperial size if yours are not metric] but I err on the 15 inch, 4 bolt, like my 93 GLT, then 4x108 if 5 then 5x108Torque pressure on the bolts is 110NM for the standard GLT and 135NM for the T-5 wheels. As for fitment over here in the UK the wheels are a Ford Fit
855 T-5 RHD Blue: MBC, Custom Map based on Rica, K&N Filter, 18T Turbocharger, White/Green injectors [depends on my mood], Blue Silicone vacuum hoses

You can also find it printed on the inside of the fuel filler door. Like so. Odd how my car has 16"rims...

Appreciate the help--should have been a little clearer....

I'm thinking of buying new wheel / tire package for the 850 wagon. I'm comfortable with the tire sizing but what about wheels? How do you know what will fit before you buy?

Thanks again....

I've used Tire Rack countless times.
Very user friendly site, year, make, model and you can search their inventory.
Lots of wheels and tires,as you might imagine.
Good people to deal with too.
