Any hints on how to retrieve the string that actuates the manual fuel filler door on a 99 C70? It has come detached from its usual spot inside the access panel in the trunk. Can't see it, can't find it. Any hints?

i would go from the outside with a blowtorch!! no try removing all of the carpeting and going in there with a flashlight and see if its dangling there teasing you... good luck
