Window regulator arm

Everything on the Volvo S80. Sometimes called an "executive car", the S80 was Volvo's top-of-the-line passenger car. P2 platform.

Window regulator arm

Post by benefield »

The front passenger window on my 99 S80 is out of whack. I pulled the panel off and it appears that the front regulator arm is out of alignment. It appears to be 20 to 30 degrees lower than it should be. In other words, when the rear arm pushes the window up all the way, the front arm is well below the front track. The problem began when the front arm popped out of the front track. I bought a new slider thinking that was the problem. Everyhting about the arms and regulator appears to be tight. Is there a way to adjust the arm?

Maybe the motor is clocked wrong. You will have to remove the drive motor from the regulator. Line everything up and then you will need a shop to initialize the window if you want it to work right again.
