#12 fuse blows constantly
I have a 90 240 DL that is blowing the #12 fuse. I have tried replacing the power window relay, but I'm not sure if I changed the right one. I found two under the center console a/c vents and tried the new relay in place of them both, but the fuse still blows. The passenger taillight doesn't work quite right, could that be related? The only wiring diagram I have is the crappy Haynes one. Please help.
In the crappy Haynes wiring diagram you can see that the fuse is also feeding switch #23, reverse light switch at gearbox. It could be some short circuit under there. A good way of trouble shooting a blowing fuse is to remove those wires connected to fuse #12 output. Check the resistance between each separated wire to ground. A value less than ~1 Ohm will blow the fuse. The you will have some wire to follow.
