850 Idler Pulley Bracket

Post by mwiles »

I'm in the midst of removing my alternator, and the last thing between me and the final alternator bolt is the bracket that holds the idler pulley. I'm pretty sure I've removed all the bolts holding the bracket in, but I still can't get the bracket out. I've seen a few write-ups, but details on the bracket are never addressed in detail.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'd get a better flashlight. Something is still holding it in.

Its stuck towards the bottom of the bracket, down where the belt wheel is. I've felt all around there, and can't find any more bolts holding the thing in - does anybody know exactly how many bolts are supposed to attach it to the car?
