Rear Wiper not working...

Rear Wiper not working...

Hi All,

I've got a strange problem today ! The rear wiper has stopped working. (not that strange you think)
But when I turn on the wiper and then open the tailgate (about half way) it starts working !

Any Ideas ??
( sorry if this has been covered - I did search for it ! )


Love the site :) Saved me about $700 + so far !

The wires in the harness at the top of the gate get pulled apart after years of opening and closing. Bascially, you'll have to find the ones with intermittent connections and then splice and resolder them to make a good connection where they've pulled apart or stripped the insulation.
