Passenger Side Air Leak

Post by Fishheadbarandgrill »

I've noticed that I have an air leak under the dash passenger side. I've removed the lower trim and glove box to investigate. The leak is fresh air. When the recirc is on, the air leak is greater than when the recirc is off. I'm still looking for the source of the leak... anyone have an idea? I'm going to try a light test tonight to see if It gives any hints.

Thanks,
Bob

Have you checked the Cabin Air Filter?

I have suspected the cabin filter. I recently had the 120K service and figured the cabin filter compartment may not have been seated properly. But I haven't sourced the leak in that area yet.

The air is coming from the top of the duct work vice the cabin filter access cover. I'm wondering I'd the seal between the fresh air cowling and the fresh air duct is compromised. Thoughts anyone?
