2005 v50 head light replacement

Post by Brazuca_ny »

Hello Community :D

The head lights on my V50 seem very DIM.

I am looking to replace them with either an HID or LED kit.

It has the projector style head lights, how can I go about this correctly?

Thanks in advance.

First I would check headlight aiming. The light cut-off is very sharp on these cars, and if they're aimed too low, it can be easy to outdrive the lights.

OTOH, there is a lot of activity around aftermarket HID. It is not, however, a trivial mod. The cars use PWM to preserve the halogen bulbs, and the pulses mess up the HID ballasts.
