1999 S70 non-turbo. I was swapping out my ETM from one i found at the yard. When I unbolted my own, three of the four bolts broke off. So now they are stuck inside the intake manifold- below the surface...
Since they are so small, will I have any luck removing them with a bolt extractor? I have never had to extract a broken bolt before.

I dont have a S70 or exxperice in removing the ETM, but from experience in removing other stuff with small bolts, you coukld try breaking the bolt heads with a big enough screwdriver and hammer. After removing the componentm, you hame more options at convincing teh bolt to come out.

I would pull off the manifold and take it to a machine shop or engine/head shop. If you wanted to try it yourself I would drill the broken bolt using a drill press, then easy heat on the manifold then use the easy out. Once extracted clean up the threads in the manifold with a tap. Not the end of the world.
