Broken sunvisor bolts?

Post by SomeGuy537 »

Hello, i have recently gotten around to doing that headliner replacement i was posting about before but now i am having a seriously annoying problem. It seems that the threads on the two bolts that are holding the sunvisor to the roof near the A-pillar are broken because nothing happens when i try to unscrew them nothing happens. This however seems very random to me. The car doesn't appear to be one that has been worked on or taken apart and put back together a lot so it would be weird if someone had just ruined the threads to the sunvisor bolts, let alone all four of them. I wanna add that i didn't do it myself, i might not be a skilled mechanic but i am not that moronic. Am i missing something here? What's wrong?? :? :?

Please forgive this stupid question, but are you sure that your socket is grabbing the bolt heads, and not just spinning inside of that recessed hole ? I ask this because I found it hard to get a deep well socket all the way into those holes and grab the bolt heads enough. I just gave up till I can find a thin wall socket.
But like I said, stupid question.
