1998 S70 T5 -- manifold lock nuts

Having some work done in a few days and Volvo wants 22 bucks each for these. Part # 977209 manifold lock nuts.

Too late to get the shipped from FCP etc (unless my local NAPA may have them) -- is there a nut I can get locally that is the same thing? Like through Fastenal, Grainger etc? -- thanks

153 bucks for 7 nuts is crazy but I do want the part to be OEM or better.

First question, why are you having the turbo removed? I thought you were having the PCV system replaced?

Second, you need these particular nuts because all others will fall off. I've tried many. They have a retaining ring built into them, plus they stand up to the heat. I just removed the turbo from my '96 T5 and I had replaced all those nut back in '06 when re-building the head. They look as good as new and were easy peasy to remove. They were less than $6 each back in '06 from FCP

Third, they can often be re-used. Too bad you're not in southern New England, I'd be glad to help you out

yes, pcv and turbo issues. going to volvo tuesday -- thanks for the word on those nuts. I'm sure fastenal would have them but would need the specs -- no biggie, just trying to save a few bucks. this forum has always been helpful ++++++++++++++
