1998 Volvo xc70 : Initially the drivers window would not go up. After I replaced the master window switch it went up but was misaligned . When I was troubleshooting the initial problem I took off the upholstery and must have disturbed the raising mechanism. Now the window initially starts up evenly but quickly slips and the rear corner go high and the front corner drops low. Where do I start and what do I do?

Been there done that.
This is known as "Window Askew" problem.
