I have been getting spots on the inside of the windshield, on the lower 6" of the glass. They are generally round, various sizes, some as big as 1/2".
My heater core isn't that old, I think it is a Behr unit (I also had bad luck with the eBay "Estonia" units).
Anyone else get these spots? I'm guessing either coolant or refrigerant oil.

Does your A/C work?
Also check the drain for the heating system is not blocked or the drains in the firewall are clear and not allowing water to drain into the heating system.

I'd say if it is just on the lower edge of the inside of the windshield (say bottom 6") then it is either a small leak in the heater core or the evaporator is starting to go. Your A/C maybe working now, but unless it has been replaced at some point it is running on borrowed time. It may leak for a while and then fail eventually. You could have the A/C system pressure checked and then have some dye added to the system to find if the evaporator is leaking.
