1999 V70 N/A TCM question

i think i need to replace my TCM or transmission. hopefully just the TCM. its pulling a P0605 code. is the TCM vis specific like the ECM or is it plug and play as slong as i get the same model and year/make?

Has anyone ever answered this question ? My friend has an identical no-start car with only this same 0605 code.

Tcm codes can ONLY be retrieved with Volvo scan tool(vida or dice for '99 & '00)...as far as i know.
That code in P format you got is a code from ECU...becuse TCM sometimes sent request to ECU to turn on CEL.
