Timing jumped..is the engine destroyed?
Small piece of the aux belt appears to have got sucked into the timing belt and causes it to jump time. It ran for about 10 seconds after losing power and then died and wouldn't restart. Confirmed I seen some rubber chunks on one of the cans and part of my accessory belt is missing/shredded. Any good luck stories about just replacing the T belt without damage? Or is it a lost cause?

There is a chance you can reset the timing, install new belts and it will be OK.

It didn't sound nice from what I recall...just a loss of power and it eventually died once I stopped. It just spins over quickly like no compression but it kind of sputters. I just assume by research it's a common occurrence ( aux belt shreds and gets in the cam belt ) so it seems they'd all suffer the same fate by jumping a tooth on the crank. My plan is to get the cam marks lined up and then undo the tensioner and try to get the crank back in line.

It is spinning over ... that suggests it did not jump far enough out of time to cause interference. Correct the timing and then a compression test can rule out any bent valves.
Line up the Crankshaft marks first then align the cam marks. The crankshaft is the datum. Make sure you do the VVT preload.

well I lined up the timing marks they're quite difficult to see especially the ones on the cams that are supposed to be lined up with The Notches in the plastic cover. my plastic cover is cracked and sort of warped so it's very easy to miss align without being careful. it turns over freely as if it has no compression so I'm going to guess there's catastrophic valve damage. i must say what a stupid drsign it was a tiny piece of my aux belt that got into the timing belt..that alone has made me decide i dont want to fix this engine seems like self destructuon is part of the design..
