'Convenience module' programming?

Hello all- Can my '04 V70 remote be programmed to do such things as
- chirp the horn when I lock it via the remote (in addition to flash the lights)
- raise or lower the windows

I had a VW TDI & used an aftermarket/VIDA type connection to do these.

and kinda related- can the radio (HU615?) be set to have a default/max volume when you turn it on, regardless of the volume when turned off? ( so I'm not blasted by rap after my kid uses the car...)

Not as is. You need a small add on box called a CAN extender.

The horn or siren cannot chirp at locking on these cars alas, only hazard lights flashing

There is no factory provided way to beep or chirp but the CAN Extender box is limited only by the program in it. The siren and horn are connected to network connected modules so the right coding can activate them.
