2000 V70R Heater Hose Differences?

Post by bmdubya1198 »

Now that I've finally filled the cooling system after changing the water pump this past weekend, I have discovered a couple leaks. One of them is coming from one of the heater hoses where it connects to the rear water pipe.
I was going to order a set of do88 silicone heater hoses, but I realized they are different part numbers after searching on eEuro for the 2000 model didn't show any results. eEuro shows the do88 hoses are only for 1999 and older models.

Does anyone know if the older style hoses are compatible with 2000 turbo models? I know NA heater hoses are different, but I thought all '94-2000 turbo heater hoses were the same.

Volvo Parts Lisle shows different PNs for -1999 and 2000-. However interestingly enough, it shows both are compatible with P80s from '98-'04 (both NA and turbo), while one extends back to '93. This applies to both the inlet and outlet.

PNs...

2000- version 9485552 outlet
2000- version 9485553 inlet
-1999 version 9186847 outlet
-1999 version 9186849 inlet

Bumped this one for closure. I’ll check my 1999 and2000 parts cars

I didn’t know NA hoses were different.

Inlet on both come off the same place on the cylinder head

I though the water pipe connection was the same for both, too?

To be explored...

The water pipe is different on NAs. Early ones, at least. The lower radiator hose wraps around the back of the head, and the heater hose is shorter, I believe. I'd have to look it up again.
