polyurethane lca bushings anyone

Post by darrylrobert »

Has anyone tried Powerflex lower control arm bushings?..i was looking at the genuine bushes but have read good reviews on polyurethane and am now undecided.. I have poly upper eng mount and poly sway bar and apart from the sticky grease i am very happy with the performance upgrade.

I have zero experience with poly bushings on the control arms so take this for what it is worth. I recall that some years back, IPD had tried selling replacement control arms with poly bushings but they had a very short life with the bushings failing miserably with associated handling problems when they failed. The Powerflex bushings might work better, but I don't recall hearing anyone that has installed them. For me I think it is best to go with factory or OEM (Hutchinson, Lemforder). Right now I am using Meyle HD control arms and the jury is still out on those.
