After my experience putting on an aftermarket coolant thermostat and that likely being the cause of my blown head gasket 2 days ago, I strongly advise using reputable parts. It was URO brand I think. Beck Arnley has a mixed bag of reviews. The best deal you can get for good timing belt kit is $130+ for Contitech. Thats what I bought. Rock Auto is a good place for deals yes, but the deals still come with a price (pun intended). That price will be your engine.

Timing belt replacement interval is 100k miles. Buying cheap one is a lunacy, I think.
If my English is bad, please correct me

At first thought, the cheap timing belt would be OK for a non interference engine like some red blocks. Second thought was, no it is too much effort to change the belt if it fails. Get the good stuff and forget about it for 100K miles.

I posted it for the entertainment value. How desperate do they need to be to sell a timing belt for $1.71 ?
And I'm +1 on URO stuff ; if you did a search for them here you would run out of space on the drive with comments about 'things that don't fit/work/fall apart' , including at least one from me.

The post was for entertainment value only, no wagering, please.
And your English seems gooder than some Muricans.

The jaw-dropping lunacy of them selling anything for $1.71 is the humorous thing. They listed quite a few URO parts too ( see above ). I actually bought a few things for the Rescue R, but I mostly needed some stuff for an old Square Body C10 I just acquired in exchange for debt. The Volvo pieces essentially shipped for free piggy-backed.

It just dawned on me that yall may be right. My heater core had a bad leak before I replaced it. Oh my... The head gasket thing was quite the ordeal.
