Heater motor?

My Volvo S70 heater keeps going on and off. Would this be a bad motor. I also must add that i just got the update from Volvo. Help. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like the heater relay or the resistor.

Mine went in my 850 it was the resistor. I bought one on ebay used and mechanic put it in. Works great now on all speeds. It use to only work on high speed.

Do you have the automatic climate control or the manual climate control?

If you have the manual climate control and the blower works on only fan speed 4 you indeed have a bad blower resistor. If it is the auto climate control you need to dump the codes out of socket B-1 and post them for us. That should tell us for sure what your problem is.

I have a manual control Lee I have notice that when I start up my car, the heater is working fine, then after it heats up, once I give the car some gas, it stop blowing and then a few min later it will not blow any air. Now here the funny part. it will come back on a few min later but not at full blast. Hope this helps.
