Front or rear? Fronts are standard Volvo pads, rear are AWD ONLY

The parts retailer FCP Euro makes it easy to find parts. Add your car (year, make, model, options), then use the category filters on the left side to narrow in on what you want. For brake pads, drill down through category Brake, then Brake Pads, then Disc Brake Pads, then Front or Rear. For my 2000 V70 NA FWD, it shows 9 results for front brake pads.

FCP Euro offers a lifetime warranty on the parts they sell. When your brake pads and rotors wear out, you buy new ones, create a return referencing the order with the old ones, mail back the old ones, and get a refund for the price of the new ones. After paying for shipping, replacement parts are free.

FCP Euro carries brands which enthusiasts and DIY users trust. Seems more likely to get good quality from them than from giant retailers like Rock Auto or overpriced local retailers like AutoZone, Advance, NAPA, etc.

The parts retailer IPD has a more awkward category system which makes me less likely to use them. However, they have manufactured some special performance parts that nobody else has. They are on the west coast so may have faster shipping times to you than FCP on the east coast.

What most don't understand is that the rear brakes on AWD cars are different to some FWD. Could be worse, you could have a 2000 V70R which has unique rear brakes on no parts available from Volvo except perhaps pads! No Rotors, calipers or dust shield.

The V70XC or V70 AWD I would have expected to have the same pads.

This would suggest that the same brake pads are used on some P2 chassis vehicles as well.
