What is PremAir in relation to P2 cars?

In looking for a radiator for my buddies son's 06 S60 2.5T AWD, on Volvo websites they mention 2 radiator options. One looks like a regular radiator which I think it may have, but the other option listed says the car WITH PremAir. What is PremAir and how do you know if your car is fitted with it.

I believe it has something to do ozone but can find no real info on what or how ti works to ensure the car is not fitted with this option. Any takers for answering this one??

Volvo pioneered a coating on the radiator to break down ozone. I think that might be it.

That sounds about right but what/why does a car need that and then is it an option?

I have a P3 not a P2 but I broke my Radiator when I tried to replace my Prem Air sensor

Search for Close up of the Prem Air sensor

on this page

The Sensor on mine is attached to the Radiator on the Fan side.

If you don't have the sensor then you have a regular radiator
