The motor is connected directly to the local switch.
Unplug the switch and you have two leads direct to
the window motor. Here’s the diagram.

Re: Help making a Volvo radio test system
You have two power sources and a ground to connect to run a radio. Constant (Battery): There are actually two leads that share this load. They provide constant power for amplification and to keep the clock running. They both tie together further up the harness: Pin A4 - Green/Brown Pin A12 - Green/B...

Re: Help making a Volvo radio test system
Any of those would work, but some may be overly complex for what you've described. If you're interested in a plain-jane, basic unit, here are a couple of other options with fewer possible points of failure: Astron is an industry standard that's built like a tank. I've seen these operate in constant ...

Re: need rackless 850 roof trim PN's
"Jim" was MVS member JRL, world famous Volvo flipper (his cars were usually superb), cranky person, many other attributes. Sorry to hear this. I learned a lot from Mr. Levitt on the boards. In fact, the euro rails on my wagon came from JRL. That man probably forgot more than I know about ...

Re: Air Recirculation Not Working
Volvo's Advocate -
FWIW, in the winter, I may run recirc for a bit when
warming up the car, but not only are these rigs pretty
tight and changing air is a good thing, moisture build
up when it's cold out starts causing problems.
Most notably, fogging or icing up windows.

Re: Best tool to open up fog light holes on 1996 850 bumper/valance, and any tips?
Stick with a Dremel bit. I prefer to use it with a cable.
I’ve also got a piece of heater hose on the handle of
the extension cable to provide a larger diameter to
reduce strain during extended use and a better grip.

Re: RIP - SC-900 audio head unit
Alpine used those as part of the CD suspension to avoid skips.
There are some a lot like it in their 6 disc changers, too.

Re: Do C70 convertibles have parcel shelf speakers?
I believe that you get mids and tweets under the side windows
and woofers in the seat backs. Nothing in the package tray.

Re: Replacing exhaust manifold and gaskets on 96 R. Likelihood of breaking studs?
Especially if you‘ve ever experienced the thrill
of one breaking off and getting to drill a hole in
hardened steel, so you can break off another one!
Lake? I’m thinking a quest to Mordor would be in order...
