Re: Oetiker Oetiker Oetiker
As an aside, look at this - "Knipex quality, Made in Germany." Then go to the Specs at the bottom - "Made in China." https://www.amazon.com/Knipex-Tools-10-98-i220/dp/B01I3H6UMS/ref=asc_df_B01I3H6UMS/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=242034450866&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&...

Re: Test aftermarket front seat covers with airbag deployment
I have seen the force thst these things go off. I doubt any stitching is going to survive it. I have some old impact 98 style too, for enhanced testing. Hold my beer

Re: Update: TASCA issue
The very day TASCA made it clear they had done nothing about my order - except take the money - I cancelled with them and asked Google again who could help me, and She sent me to: https://www.volvopartscounter.com/ - Mitchell Volvo in Simsbury CT. I placed the order on 12/13 at 3:05, the webpage ack...

Re: 99/2000 V70xc wiring diagram needed.
And on top of that, the calipers and brackets came painted too!
I DID install new hoses too, but I’m not convinced they are the right ones for the 302mm setup.
I’ll have to dig out receipt or boxes for part numbers tho. I’ll report back.

Re: Alternator question
I picked up a salvage alternator over the weekend & all's good. Key on, I get my battery dash light, and started up it's passing 14.4v across the positive terminal now. I also ordered the regulator and confirmed the old one is bad, as the new one (and the salvage alt.) read 10 mega ohms across t...

Re: Everyone hug, kiss, call, text, IM, PM, Em, your Mom today...and post here
My Mom passed peacefully this past February. I became acutely aware I had not called, hugged, or told her how much I loved her enough. Of course you never can….but. My sincerest sympathies for the loss of this very special person and may the grieving be tempered by the joy that comes from the memori...

Re: Contact cleaner recommendations??
Thought I would come back to this as I have found a cleaner that has worked way better than any other offering I have tried. The Product is DeOxit D5. I found that a local music shop chain sell this stuff for cleaning electrical contacts. Not cheap at $25+ tax here (about $18 US), but I found I did ...

Re: Correct Battery Voltages, Revisited
Alternator and starter cable resistances and bad grounds also affect charging capacity. I once asked the question of a Master Volvo mechanic I trust. He answered anything above 13.5V is good. The bigger issue is giving the car time to recharge after a start. My wife had an 99 Audi A4 that regularly...
