Re: Oil consumption and the dealership diagnostic process
Let me answer the PCV question. (For the warranty question I will need to look at the emission label for my 2010 S80 and get back to you) The PCV on the 3.2 and 3.0T is controlled by a diaphragm. When it is working correctly a very small vacuum is present at idle in the crankcase. If it fails then t...

Re: Engine Moves while switching Gears (video included)
Any significant engine movement likely indicates a bad motor mount. Three of the five aren't bad to replace on a P2 chassis. Some YouTube investigation should help you determine if you are up for it on yours.
Most noticeable movement would be drive to reverse and vice versa.

Re: Power steering pump failure - twice
The Reservoir has a filter built into the bottom of it.
You should replace the reservoir.
The Land Rover Freelander II shares a lot of parts with the Volvo S80.

Re: Rad Hoses Blowing Apart
I would do what you listed. And I would caution you to use original parts for the Thermostat and the Hoses. Aftermarket Thermostats are know to fail early (I've seen the video but I couldn't determine the manufacturer of the failed part but it was definitely not a Volvo or Land Rover part) If it is ...

Re: Help. 2 fans replaced with 1
My XC70 friend, We are going to need more information. I own two P3's and both are first cousins to your car ---2010 S80 3.2 Originally came with a dual fan and it was making noise so I replaced it with a Conti/VDO Dual Fan ---2008 LR2 3.2 (I know its a LAND ROVER) Originally it came with a single f...

Re: Help. 2 fans replaced with 1
Garrett, The Dual Fan for a 2010 S80 3.2 is 3168680 8 (this is exactly the fan that I installed in my LR2 it even came in a nice Volvo Box) The single Fan is in fact 3168680 6 which is what you have Both of these fans should have a single controller and a single connector with three conductors B+ - ...

Re: 2008 XC70 3.2 Lower Torque rod mount
The part number you posted doesn't fit on your XC70. The 3.2 was used in the P3 and P2 but the motor mounts are different You should have the same four engine/transmission mounts as my LR2 (a P3 with a Land Rover Badge) See the last four pictures https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic32979.html Note: fo...

Re: 2008 xc70 coolant leak ID (drivers side of engine)
Looking at the Video I think you need https://www.freel2.com/gallery/albums/userpics/13868/LR005564.jpg Take a look at this post for the first cousin with the same 3.2 as yours https://www.freel2.com/forum/topic38639.html If you don't mind the part coming in a LAND ROVER box then get this LR005564 -...

Re: No start No Crank, 2011 xc70 t6
Madbadger, The Volvo S80 and the Land Rover LR2 share a lot in common and I own one of each. From the Land Rover enthusiast if the steering column lock doesn't release when you dock the key then you can't move to the next step. This is a common fault on the LR2 but I believe that you are getting pas...
