Re: What is this hose on the rack and pinion specifically?
Thanks. I'll need to look those up. I'm not familiar with them. I thought maybe a WD-40 product or what I've seen locally (in Canada) a rust convertor fluid...but not those brands...if that's what they are... Fluid Film or ACF-50 will take longer to wash off than WD-40. You could even take a brush ...

Re: XC90 Windshield Wiper Arm Assembly Installation
A bit of grace goes a long way on these forums. Not trying to pick on you chitownV, but a question comes away a bit different than a statement. It looks like you missed one of the most important things while in there. To clear out the drains to prevent water from damaging the CEM. “ Did you happen t...

Re: 2006 C70
I would rent a UHaul truck and trailer. The P1 platform (S40, V50, C70) 5 cylinders are prone to head gasket issues if run hot. There is no coolant level sensor and due to location of temp sensor can get hot quickly before the driver know it and toast the head gasket. While you could top off and clo...

Re: 2006 C70
+1 on this. Just had the similar symptoms on an 06 V50 T5 AWD. The owner was having overheating issues. As a start we swapped the thermostat. The old one was jammed shut and there was no jiggle valve in it either. It was an aftermarket item. This is not a fun job as getting the airbox out is a chal...

Re: Extreme blow-by - No sludge in Oil Pan - 2007 XC70
Definitely want to replace the PCV components before the pressure pushes out cam seals or main seals. Keep the dipstick out a bit if you have to drive it to relieve the pressure, maybe cut a slot in the oil cap rubber gasket too. FCPEuro sells the whole kit. Not very technical but a lengthy process,...

Re: 2010 XC90 Rear wheel jumping/banging when turning in lock
Any codes? I believe the all-wheel-drive system engages when wheel speeds are off front to back a wheel speed sensor issue normally will trigger an ABS code. Are the tire sizes the same front to back?
Pulling the fuse would seem to indicate that the mechanical side is OK.
