Re: URO parts
In Norwegian, "uro" means worry, or unrest. A rebranding might not hurt.

Re: OBD code P1670
Hi! 1670 can be the antenna ring or bad connections. 1618 is bad communications between tranny and M4.3, and it should set a CEL, me thinks - the TCM will ask the ECM to set an MIL. Yikes... 0705 can be your PNP switch. All in all, it seems you've got some transmission issues. Have you tried clearin...

Re: 96 850 Turbo Rough idle and die
Whoops... you're right, of course. I don't have the airbox anymore, and can rotate it like that. I guess I forgot how it's actually supposed to be.

Re: Power antenna failure 96 850 Turbo sedan
You're probably right about the failure point. It's a 20+ year old unit, after all.
New ones can be had on ebay for about 40 USD, but a salvage yard with some nice sedans might be a good option as well.

Re: Cruise control problem 850-95
Cruise control works fine down to 50 km/h on my '96. Check the vacuum pump for the CC, under the battery tray and that the hoses to/from it are connected correctly, and that the blind one is plugged. On my previous 850, the switch failed and made it go a little haywire when increasing/decreasing spe...

Re: No power after braking
It's always a bad idea to throw parts at these cars before knowing what the issue is - as in, it gets expensive really quickly. On the other hand, you've probably replaced some things that were 20 years old, so you can always clock it up to preventive maintenance. ;) Cleaning the MAF, as erikv said,...

Re: Gunk in the oil dipstick tube
Yup... driving a whole heap of tiny trips with horrendous fuel economy, a cold engine and water in your oil and then changing that oil more often makes a whole lot more sense. [/sarcasm]

Re: change your oil regularly, folks!
V70, Lubrication System Contamination Cleaning.pdf I just went through this nightmare on my V70 pulling the pan, luckily my engine was pretty clean inside. I am going to Synthetic oils as this Volvo notice suggests. even the box could be cleaned out - didn't have to replace it. I have to say Castro...

Re: 1998 V70R Vacuum Hose
Hm. You’re right...
On 9454041 it looks like it’s going to a check valve from the purge valve for the evap. This has me confused now as well.

Re: '98 S70, 93k miles, intermittent Rough running and stalling
It’s also worth checking the fuel pump relay (as someone suggested) and fuel pump. Low pressure or unevenly operating pump will cause your symptoms, and probably not set a code that will stay until you get a readout.
