Re: Can I go on driving a bit longer with worn and worn a bit more tires or will I damage my AWD?
. The video left out one parameter which MUST be met in order to get a correct alignment. I have attached a diagram to explain. Most cars do not have the same Track Width front and back. Assuming you don't have any suspension damage. You must establish that the Red strings are parallel so the Green ...

Re: ECM-6805 - Overboost?
i have a turbo gauge on top of the dash glued to the A pillar, i can see the boost kick in.
it shows vacuum when driving normal.
it tells me a lot at a glance.
you might need to clean the turbo boost control valve in the air pipe near the turbo, it gets oil gunked.

Re: Unfortunate new Volvo owner! (98 V70 AWD)
I trimmed up this horrible melty damage from a past fender bender with some 14ga steel and stainless fasteners.
Pretty satisfying centering it around the new 4" tip.
Big news, I know.

Re: Vida CEM swapping
I'm not sure I follow fully here so is that the green connector your referring too for cockpit-2? And its pin 17 for that connector? And Yes please the pinout for the barrel would be extremely handy. Sorry for the delay, I wasn't at home. Do you have the P1 CEM ? If yes, everything is written on th...

Re: New owner of a 2007 V70, big problems? The oil is real.
Just wanted to give an update, not hit and run like most people do when asking for repair info. I’m still in the process of getting parts to do this repair but I just got my CHRA in from the UK this morning. I ordered direct from Turbo Rebuild Limited’s site in the UK. It cost me $199 shipped to Ill...

Re: Replace the fuel pump on C70 2007
There's no access to the fuel pump underneath the backseat.
To make matters worth, you can't easily cut an access hole because the fuel pump is UNDER the structural support.

Re: Considering a non-running 2007 3.2 - what to look for?
You know that old saying that there's no dog as expensive as a free puppy? It might apply here. As you're thinking about an XC90 with 150k+, consider: 1) Everything to get it to Stage 1. Oil, transmission, brake, and power steering fluid and appropriate filters in an ideal case. Maybe brake rotors a...

Re: Fix or Scrap?
I am waiting for two other estimates on the engine swap. I am hoping it can be done as a unit since my engine and transmission have only 95,000 original miles - but it's sounding like $1500 - $2000 for the swap. Back in 2009, I blew the engine in my 2000 V70. I paid $10,000 for a used engine, shipp...
