WOW! Polestar software upgrade - thumbs up.
I had been getting about 16 mpg around town. It felt like the automatic transmission was slipping and the response to the accelerator pedal was slow. I have some scratches on the front and rear bumper and one big one (dent) on the rear passenger door. So I considered getting a newer car - this is th...

Re: 02 V70 2.4T - Screws that hold the Charge Air Pipe in place?
Take one to Lowes, they have a display in the nuts and bolts section that you can thread bolts into to check the size. Don't force it or you could damage your bolt.

Re: Intake air temp showed up as 203F. Normal?
You should be able to detach each of the vacuum lines in turn, and check the vacuum on them with a vacuum gauge borrowed from an auto parts store. You could try switching the two hoses connected to the air box, to see if that changes the flap position. MAFs and MAPs FYI. Pete's description earlier i...

Re: First cold day of the year, no start issue.
The hole in the ETA is in the plastic cover that protects the motor solenoid and the throttle plate position sensor. Water and dirt (and mice) are getting in there causing all sorts of nasty damage. Get a replacement installed ASAP. Car is likely to drop into limp mode or engine stop unexpectedly. I...

Re: 2004 S60 First cold day of the year, no start issue.
Sorry, I just responded to a much earlier post in this thread and you have already installed a replacement ETA. Leaving my post below. Do you have an update for us? What's happening now? Sorry for the delay in responding. You probably have already fixed this. I bought an OKAY Motors ETA from Amazon ...

Re: ETM throttle plate difficult to move
It should not do that. Of course. You would not want to have the car stuck with a wide open throttle - it's not a Toyota or an Audi (unintended acceleration reference). You may just need a new ETM, not just the sensor part. Or there may be some cleaning or lubrication that fixes your issue. I don't ...

Re: Just bought 2006 S60 2.5T AWD, 212K
I'm partial to the coated Zimmermans with the Akebono pads Me, too. I put them on my FWD '06. Prior to that, brake dust would appear within hours of scrubbing the wheels clean. Now they stay nice. :) I also did my e-brake as it was not holding the car and I was concerned about the MA inspection. Re...

Re: Parking brake cable adjustment
FYI, I replaced my 2006 S60 2.5T FWD parking brakes in Sep 2018 and neither the old or the new ones had the Adjuster that Paul shows. Hence all adjustment had to be done at the parking brake lever. I'm looking at the photos on my phone. Mine had a short H-shaped piece there. https://www.fcpeuro.com/...

Re: V70 new Bosch fuel pump whine, same as old one.
Whine noise I do hear a clear, high pitched whine in your video. It would be easier to hear if you turned the engine off (:)). Actually, I think the pump runs in key position 2 before you start the engine, so you could try that. However, I think the pump would only run briefly as it pressurizes the...

Re: Please Identify this engine part
Yes, it is the vacuum switch for the power assisted brakes. When there is low vacuum in the manifold, the switch tells the vacuum pump to run to enable power assist for the brakes. It looks like you are missing the electrical connector from the top of the switch. You will probably need: a new or rep...
