Re: AC Lines Running Hot 98 V70
Those FLIR devices are averaging a 15-30 cm spot depending on how close you are to the engine. Be careful what you are actually measuring as there are lots of hot things around Temperature is not a good surrogate measurement for AC performance, you can measure high pressure side right from obd and l...

Re: 1996 Volvo 850 T5 Knock sensor ???
Loosen the mounting bolts on the starter one by one, remove, clean threads shiny with a Dremel, lubricate, reinstall, torque to specs. Remove the back mount on the starter, to right side of car, if you have one. Volvo discarded it later on as unnecessary. Torque spec for starter bolts is........40Nm...

Re: CCM/ECC not working. No control of damper motors. AC ON-button blinking
On a 2000 it self calibrates. If you just replace the control unit in the dash you should have no problems

Re: Fuel rail pressure still too low AFTER replacing sensor, fuel pump, PEM and filter
Spec is 52 psi, I think?
Blockage in fuel lines, fuel tank sock, or in fuel rail?
Tough one.
Time to monitor the output wave forms on the PEM...these are referenced ina thread here

Re: Dissasembled the PCV system, looking for which parts to buy
You can remove that bracket and recycle it. Volvo removed it in later models. It’s weird that that it does not fit the hole in the block. My guess would be that an aftermarket starter was installed of slightly shorter length

Re: 98 c70 2.3 AC pressure relief valve? or blown line?
124F blacktop temperature is routine.
Something is wrong with your fan circuitry probably, was it in high fan speed when it blew?
Pressure relief is on the left side of the compressor and it might’ve a blow out type, so that could be a pain to source and replace.

The real reason to bump this aged threD is reporting on Cardone reman. They are using silver cheese in their pistons and I’ve ruste...
