PN 31439471 appears to supersede 30713305.
That stubby little hose piece seems to be used on a lot of turbo Volvos over a lot of years. It is the right one for both my '96 850 and also my '14 XC70.

Plastic Parts Repair
I did a thread on repairing my glovebox kick panel. here is a follow on where I created my own ABS Slurry to repair a pillar trim: Please note the following: 1) You cannot use spare trim parts to create the slurry if they are stamped PC + ABS. That means is a mix of polycarbonate and ABS and wont di...

Re: Fake VAG COM Cable - Need real FTDI chip
You could get FTDI part number US232R-100-BULK, cable assembly made by FTDI, directly from FTDI, or from a franchised distributor like Mouser or Digi-Key. Then, for the VAG KKL portion, you would add a VAG KKL cable with DB9 connector - no USB-serial bridge chip inside. Buying an "FTDI inside&q...

Re: Essential tools for DIY Volvo care.
SATA and Tekton aren’t included here but it’s a good overview of the landscape of tool quality. From what I’ve read (Garage Journal and Reddit tool forums I don’t think I’d use SATA’s on my brake lines.

The first two fixes on that on...

Re: 1999 S70 GLT - Suggestions on broken lugnuts
i got it taken care of. I sprayed both with blaster last night and again today. I removed the calliper, bracket and rotor. Unfortunately there was nothing to grab on to, so I went the way of an easy out. When I drilled the first one, the bit caught and ended up screwing the remainign stud out the ba...

P2 PCV Replacement - Notes for the Uninitiated (from the recently initiated)
Hi Everyone, I just wanted to call out a few things I encountered during my first P2 PCV replacement. Things that delayed the process by days and challenged my sanity at times. Apologies for any redundance - I did read quite a few threads on the topic and used several youtube videos as reference so ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Hey, thanks for the update. Wow, that trim cleaner works well. I've heard of the Sonax brand and they made good products. Like that it is not silicon based. That old car is really starting to shine nicely after all the love spent on it. There will always be room for improvement until we can get to t...

Re: Non-Volvo car chat megathread
$3.81 is a bit stiff for a small box of ziplock bags, but they look well-made. The black things are there to puff them up and make them look bigger.
