New Englanders need anything between here and NC?
Does anyone in New England need anything from junkyards between here and western NC? I'm going on a road trip there in a few days, returning mid month. I'll be driving 81 through Harrisburg, PA to avoid the tolls in DE, MD, DC area. Perhaps there are body panels which match your color or interior pa...

Re: New Englanders need anything between here and NC?
That's a really nice offer, but I don't really need anything right now. I am still looking for a hood and trunk lid for my nautic blue S70, but I don't think I can ask you to bring one back for me :o That's exactly the kind of thing I'm offering to transport: stuff which is too hard to ship. I've g...

Re: New Englanders need anything between here and NC?
You all have done so much for me, answering my endless questions, and leaving a trail of good information behind from answering other peoples' questions. I'm just trying to give back a little. Might as well fill my trunk for the 1000 mile drive (one way).

Re: 1999 V70 XC repair/shop manual
I swear by the UK Haynes S/V/C70 manual . It has descriptive procedures, pictures, torque specs, etc. I use mine constantly. All Data DIY offers online shop manual by subscription. They may have more complete info than Haynes, but it's written for technicians in short, abbreviated language. It also ...

Re: Immobilizer question
I was able to swap a 1999 V70 immobilizer ring into my 2000 V70 and it worked fine. As always, I'm skeptical about 1998 or older in a 1999-2000. They're inexpensive to buy new and easy to pull from a junkyard. When installing, be careful when you separate the top and bottom plastic halves of your st...

Re: Rebuilding and painting my calipers
I got to install three Centric calipers on Geronimo . Their rust protection is vastly worse than the Volvo rebuilds. I'm guessing they are painted based on a few spots which looked like light application over rusty metal. At first, this looks better than the Volvo rebuilds which are powder and clear...

Re: 2000 S70 radiator core support replacement need help.
R or not, get those nice Perfo wheels from the blue donor. Good luck with the rehab. I hope the frame is still perfect.

Re: Removing stubborn ABS module bolt
To remove my stuck ABS module bolt, I ground it down with a Dremel 9903 Tungsten Carbide Carving Bit with domed head. It was impossible to hold the Dremel perpendicular to the bolt, so the domed head of the 9903 helped grab on to the bolt at the odd angle. Be sure to use a sharp blade or you'll wast...

Re: Parking Brake Failure
I recommend evaluating the entire parking brake system (if you've never done so). I believe there are instructions by the user cn90 on the forum, so those will help you. Or, buy the British Haynes S70/V70/C70 manual which explains this all quite well. Taking the time to learn and master the parking ...
