Re: Water Pump Leaking

RTV for coolant, it's a special one. Put just enough so it doesn't leak inside when positioning the pump. Smear a little on both sides of the gasket. Hope that is an Aisin pump right ? About the only safe brand (or genuine) A razor blade to remove big chunks of old gasket, then a Stainless Steel Wir...

Re: [2001 V70 2.4T] Thorough brake bleeding job?

There's two different things - bleeding the calipers and bleeding the ABS unit (actually there is also a third thing, bleeding the master cylinder). For the ABS unit, Volvo connects the car to VIDA and activates a certain sequence of the ABS solenoids to bleed the air with a pressure bleeder at one ...

Re: Volvo S60 2.4T 2002 sunroof - $1200

. This one, you might get lucky, or get unlucky. My thoughts exactly. In fact, I think rather unlucky with no working window, check engine, a spring seat going, perhaps poor mpg and who knows what else. 'Super low miles' as long as you keep spending. By the kind of listing - just a feeling - this m...

Re: 2002 S60 car stalling at stops and during low speed turns.

Not an easy one, maybe the throttle body module but really not sure. How long had you had the car before the issue started ?

While there, be very cautious if bringing it to Volvo if they 'recommend' replacing this and that

Re: Need help replacing the Fuel level sensor (Driver side)

I don't know about the specific configuration on your car but you can see here after about 5:00 there are two covers under the rear seats - one is hidden under the upper section of the seat and difficult to access (need to remove the upper seat). The picture in your first post seems to be just a hol...

Re: 2002 S60 car stalling at stops and during low speed turns.

Perfectly agree with the above comment. Really quite a few owners reported weird things - including no start, immobilizer problems and so on - after having left the car parked long term and getting a drained battery. Really wish we'd learn one day the cause for these precise behavior, maybe someone ...

Re: Need help replacing the Fuel level sensor (Driver side)

Is it possible the sender assy is secured to the pump unit itself ? That's how it was on my model year (and a bit tricky to remove, had to separate them inside the tank)

Re: vibration and hum from a/c fan

Another way is to undo the windshield cowl piece - the large black plastic piece - without removing the wiper arms, just lift if at the passenger side, and look with a flash light at the fan blower, you get a clear view. May try to slide a hand and remove any debris as mentioned above (don't put the...

Re: Looking for suggestions of where this moisture came from

It is very possible. That is the evaporator drain tube. Normally, if the air filter is well in place, no debris should get to reach and obstruct that tube. So perhaps it's good to remove the cabin air filter (there 1 or 2 of them) and have a look. The floor carpets too very long to dry, even when re...

Re: S60 2.5T misfire

You can find and replace only the faulty coil https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fnYUQh23p7Q Use only Bosch, maybe order 2 to have a spare one. Be sure not to drive with the misfire or at least undo the injector on that cylinder It is indeed important to inspect the plugs, because worn ones will cause ...
