My 98 does that in cold weather overnight even running ok. I have used a hair dryer set on it for several minutes and this frees it up every time. Some very tight tolerances must be shrinking and keeping it locked. Heat might help.

Finally was getting a weak spark with plenty of starter motor action. Changed battery and cleaned cables and all ok. Test drive was good with plenty of power. Apparently fixed.

No spark at coil wire. Replaced cam and crank position sensors and coil with ignition module. Still no spark. Checked main engine relay and it is working ok. Gas is getting into the cylinders and also no firing with carb cleaner shot. What else is needed to get fire to the coil? How does one trace it?
