Replace 960 water pump without removing the timing belt
I replaced my leaking water pump today without removing the timing belt or serpentine belt. I had to remove and reset the timing belt tensioner and tensioner pulley. I used a bungee to keep tension on the belt and a some whiteout to mark the belt and pulleys. Its not exactly by the book but it saved ...

3 years on and almost 40k miles since JBwelding the oil pan. No drips or leaks of any kind, the patch is still holding without issue.

1. When the airbag light is ON, it does NOT mean the SRS system is disabled. It means that an SRS fault code is stored.

With a multimeter. After a drive unplug the CLT, chech the resistance and repeat every 30 minutes as engine cools down.

Check your lower torque mount. A solid upper mount plus a worn lower mount will cause vibration.

DOT and Ecode reflectors are different. Mixing reflectors and lenses won't make a legal beam pattern either in the US or europe.

I didnt see that those were that cheap. I would be sure to solder the connections though, less resistance and less chance of seeing issues with the crimps
