change all the coils with new bosch ones, same as volvo but not in the blue box. check the VVT solenoid, these are both common failures.

its quite risky because the engine might hydraulically lock. Emailed a few mechanics that work on volvos over 20years old that have been driven by old lady's consider removal of the head the only real fix.

So for those that dont know as i didnt, the carbon build up has a tendency to get hot and ignite the fuel mix before the spark plug causing a engine shockwave or pinging. I cant hear anything like that but read it could be happening..it also reduces the size of the chamber.

seeing some forums people talking about carbon build gradually started pinging on high octane fuel, so i havent pulled the spark plugs yet but i think/hope that is the problem. Ive ordered 2 bottles and a spray bottle of seafoam, some of the 24hr seafoam before/after videos dont look that impressive...

hows this for weird..i placed the rear sensor back to its normal position 3 with copper washers and i got the "knock code" moved it back to position 2 and no "knock code"??

Do these numbers look okay? is a STFT 0.78% mean its leaning out?
