Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Unique XC90 problem, spare tire rust. When the spare was used last summer it was quite ‘manky’ as the Brits would say. 100% rust on rim. Since I had the time I dropped it down and wire wheeled the lose paint and rust flakes and hit it with Rust-Oleum Rust Reformer Spray Paint. Solid steel underneath...

Re: P2 plastic lens replacement.

Based on the last photo I’d stay with what you have. YouTube vids I saw involved a dremel cutoff wheel and lots of fiddley work.

I think if you sand/polish a bit more then clear it (or use paint protection film) it should hold up for a while in your tough conditions.

Re: P2 plastic lens replacement.

I’ve only done glass on an early P2. For plastic after watching some YouTube videos I just hunted down good replacements on YouTube. External hazing can be polished out, internal not so much, which was the case on my S60 and XC90. I’ve had great results with this 3-step polish (sorry not a MVS Amazo...

Re: Anti-Skid Service Required / 2011 C30

I actually did pick up the icarsoft scanner and it said that the steering angle sensor is the code. When I tried to "relearn" the code with steering wheel center my abs light came on. I dont think the scanner did the right thing. Also, the relearn function of the SAS has four calibration ...

Re: Anti-Skid Service Required / 2011 C30

Need to scan for codes. A iCarSoft compatible with Volvo is not terribly expensive.

Re: What's wrong in this picture? 06 S60 R

If I recall right I did my 02 S60 without too much trouble. Just fit with a thinn’ish wall socket and didn’t have to dismantle the whole front suspension.

Re: 2005 xc 90 front passenger brake locked up

Does anyone know the fuse for ABS circuit? I am thinking about pulling the fuse... No ABS feature is still better than random wheel locking up! I don’t know where the fuse is (best option) but do know if you disconnect the passenger wheel speed sensor right in front of the passenger windshield cowl...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

Correction: Volvo eco-friendly self-decomposing plastics. Toyota plastics of that age will never degrade in your lifetime. 20 years later it is as soft and emitting stinky carcinogen fumes as the day it rolled out of the assembly line. I long for the everlasting carcinogen plastics of old. Frustrat...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

A spare key is most painful…covered here on the forum ad nauseam…$440 for a fob or $113 for a valet key PLUS $224 to program either one. With an AirTag on the only functional key I may roll the dice. Just can’t swallow $337 for a spare key on a $1500 vehicle. Break the ignition lock, so it accepts ...

Re: No communication from forum member

Well chaps I decided to google about revolut and what they do about fraud on their accounts. I followed the prompts and lodged a complaint through their website at approximately 1pm. The process was painless and they looked for info such as emails ,forum correspondence and of course a screen shot o...
