Re: Way to bypass AC compressor pulley?

On previous 5 cyl cars (94-98), it was possible to bypass the compressor with a shorter belt.

With the 99+ later cars, I don't think you can:

There is a thread on swedespeed on bypassing the compressor but it involves removing the ...

Re: Any opinion of Re-volv in Oxford MA? (or other nearby shops)

I've had Re-Volv work on both of my Volvos for mundane maintenance work (P2 control arms/ball joints) as well as some performance work (lowering springs and + Bilstein shocks and struts). Their labor rates are pretty good, have multiple loaner vehicles, and they also have a good selection of new and ...

Re: Volvo Radio From hu603 To hu803..?

You can use either the PA-200 (the 200 watt amplifier) or the PA-300 (300w) for the HU-803.

Re: replace alternator with used or replace voltage regulator?

My vote is to replace the voltage regulator with a new one unless you can check to see how worn the brushes are on the voltage regulator on the junkyard alternator.

Here's what the brushes looked like on the original voltage regulator after 235k (new Bosch unit on top, old one on the bottom ...

Re: buying advice for 2002 V70 2.4T wagon

A couple of corrections here..

In 2002, only the nonturbo was still running the Magnetti-Marellie ETM. The 2.4T and the T5 switched to the Bosch ETM which were much less troublesome.

(I have both a NA 2002 and a T5 2002).

Also, the DIM (instrument cluster) can be rebuilt in most instances for ...

Re: XC70 has lost the ability to open the rear trunk hatch

Do you hear and feel the hatch lock actuator moving the lock to the unlocked postion when you hit unlock with the keyless entry fob?

The hatch on my NA occasionally gets stuck and the trick to opening the hatch was to push the hatch towards the front of the car as you pull on the handle, as ...

Re: Performance Exhaust: an Open Letter from the "Touring Class"

I applaud your effort but I wouldn't hold your breath.

The likelihood of any of the vendors being able to offer a revised system + being able to recoup their costs + selling at a pricepoint where people would consider buying them = extremely low, especially for a platform that's been discontinued ...

Hello, melbaz.

P2 refers to the 2001-2009 VOLVO S60, 1999-2006 VOLVO S80, 2001-2007 VOLVO V70/XC70 models.

Since your signature indicates that you have a P2 S60.... you have a P2.
