Does any body know if the seats from a saloon will fit into an estate?, as I've mentioned in a previous post I have both and the saloon has a full leather interior that I wouldnt mind sticking in my estate. I know the front seats will go in but I'm not sure about the back, I know its still a 60/40 s...

Can anybody tell me which design of remote fob I'm supposed to have for a 1996 T5 gle? I Know there are two but dont know which one. The one I have is slim and has two buttons one below the other, not the square one with two small buttons side by side. If I had the wrong remote, would this explain w...

I am buying a stolen/recovered volvo 850 T5 in the next couple of days and after carefull consideration I think I'm going to have to break it rather than repair. Being as my existing T5 is only a base model (ie. no aircon, no sunroof, no electric rear windows) how feasable would it be to transfer th...

judder on tickover
Hi, after having the head replaced(due to warping) and the inlet manifold (due to being cracked), and the upper engine mounts(worn out), and the head gasket(blown) , and the exhaust manifold(due to the splitter being loose) I still have a problem on tickover. It had this symptom much worse when I to...

Replacement head
Can anybody tell me if its possible to skim the head on an 850 t5?
After getting my local specialist to change the head gasket I am now being told that the head needs to be replaced because its warped and cannot be skimmed. Because I dont know if this is possible or not I'm having to pay out

850 Head gasket
My 1996 850 T5 with 174,000 miles needs a head gasket but to get the local dealer to do it will cost a small fortune(which I don't have at the moment). How difficult is it going to be for me to do this myself?, has anybody done one and knows the shortcuts?. I am very mechanicaly minded and have chan...

Does anybody know the spring rates for a 1986 850 T5 estate compared to an S40?(dont know what year), I've just replaced my front strut and was given one off an S40. I was told by the breakers that it was the same but I've recently heard a chattering or rubbing noise on full lock and after checking ...

Thanks Matthew, Unfortunately its not as simple as a disconected wire(already checked), is there a known electrical fault on this circuit as its tied into the mirrors as well which have also stopped working. I noticed the other day whilst awaiting for my beloved to come back from a lengthy shopping ...
