I had the same on my 2001 V70. It was the alarm module in the front offside wheel arch. Cost about £100 all in at dealer.

You are probably best off looking at an uprated battery, like an Optima Yellow top and a decent capacitor.

My C70, has a Yellow top and a 1 farad cap to drive the RF 1000BD amp @ 2ohms and I only get a slight flicker of the dash light if I am stationary. Before this, I had a definite problem ...

Just to let you know, after reading this article, I have repaired my module on a 2001 V70.

I was getting "Brake Failure Stop Safely ASAP" followed by "STC Service Required" on the in-dash display + the CEL. Now, they've all gone.

Just to help out anyone who needs to do it on the later ...
