Have you put the original unit back in to test that the weird symptoms only exist with this new Blaupunkt. If this is the case, then it does sound like you are unlucky with a faulty new radio. For what it's worth, I have Blaupunkt in two of my cars and I think they're great. Nice design and thusfar...

I'll definitely have to try a different head unit... this particular one was lost in the mail for 3 months thanks to a faulty zip code It worked last time I tried it... could be beat.

hmm... this is tough.

I suggest getting a wire harness for it - any high end car audio shop should carry it (places like circuit city typically don't)

The manual also doesn't appear to have the wiring... perhaps the repair manual(s)?
