Re: How to change control arms
I just changed the LCA's on my '00 S80 T6 this weekend. It wasn't too bad, but it definately helps to have some assistance. Some of the specialty tools aren't necessary, but you'll definately need a good set of off-set metric wrenches to get to the bolts inside the frame. I changed ball joints while...

Re: S80 4 dr 01 sunroof is leaking and rattles badly
My '00 S80 T6 also had a bad rattle in the sunroof that I finally discovered was caused by black metal support channel that runs the width of the glass panel. Mine had come unattached at one end and was vibrating against the glass. I used rear-veiw mirror epoxy and some clamps to re-attach it to the...

Re: S80 t6 turbo '99- carpet on driver's side wet
Did you check the O-rings for the inlet/outlet pipes on the heater core itself? I have a '00 S80 T6 and had the same issues you do (leaking coolant on drivers floorboard/needing to add coolant) and mine turned out to be bad O-rings. They are about $3 a piece (I got mine from AutohausAZ.com) and aren...

CEL - P0234 -Overboost - possible causes?
I have a 2000 S80 T6 with 140k miles. About a month ago I had the CEL come on, registered as a P0234 Turbo Overboost. That light cleared when I had to change the battery out about a week later (faulty cell). I ordered and installed a new boost pressure controller and changed all of the vacuum lines ...

Re: Heater core replacement
I had the same symptoms with my '00 S80, and it turned out to be just the O-rings. I used the volvospeed posting that MIJ pasted into his reply above, and it was a life saver (as well as a money saver)! I bought my O-rings from Autohausaz.com for about $3 a piece (you'll need 2) and was able to do t...

Re: s80 t2.0 2000 Car Stereo
Double check with your local dealer's service department, but I don't think you'll need a code for the radio. When I changed my battery in my '00 S80 T6 I called and the service rep told me I didn't need a code for the S80. I've changed the battery twice (first one had a bad cell) and have only had ...

Re: Time for New Coil Springs?
So far no strange noises or wandering. When I jacked the front end up the other day to check things prior to ordering struts, etc. it looked like the rear bushing on the driver side might be torn. I could see what looked like the aluminum center that the bolt runs through. I haven't had it on the ro...

Re: Time for New Coil Springs?
Appreciate the feedback MIJ. What about lower control arms/replacing the bushings? I've read a couple of posts that say it's tough and requires special tools. I've also read a post on another site that said you can do it by 'traditional' means. Any thoughts or advice?

Time for New Coil Springs?
I have a 2000 S80 T6 that is just about to roll over 140k miles. I am preparing to change struts/shocks as well as spring seats. Any advice on other important parts to check/change out while I've got everything apart? Also, is it time to change the coil springs or will they last awhile longer? If it...

Re: heater core replacement
Just a follow up, it turned out to be a bad O-ring on the bottom pipe that feeds into the core. $6 worth of new O-rings and a few choice words did the trick!
