I have a 2006 xc90 and I am getting a headlight failure message when the light switch is in the lights on position. Lights work fine when when the switch is in the auto position. When I get the message the lights point down to the ground for a few seconds and then come back up to the normal position...

I think you have to press the switch with the vehicle on and then you have a time limit (maybe 30 seconds) to get out and lock it. Check to be sure this is correct in the manual. I hope this helps.

Check to make sure all the doors are closed including the hood (or is it bonett?) and tail gate. I remember something like that happening to me. I opened then closed the hood and it fixed it self.

When starting up after it sits for a few of hours the lifters bleed down and are noisy for a bit. It is especially noisy in the morning and takes a minute to calm down. The dealer said this is normal for all the 4.4ls. I find it horrible to listen to and wondering if anyone else has this problem.

I have done some reading and it seems that the rear shocks may be Nivamat self leveling shocks. I saw somewhere that they sold a level sensor. That is what got me thinking about lowering. If they are Nivamats is there a way to adjust the ride hight?
