Mine does this when the car is cold for a few minutes into driving and its only at low to mid rpms. Turns out it's either the serp belt tensioner pulley or the idler pulley(one of the two for the belt). Check those as that's an easy fix.

I've had 9 or 10 Volvos now and can't imagine driving anything else except a Toyota truck or a Jeep. I'm always amazed at the community these great cars have created. Even if you get one that need repairs there's many forums that will happily help you out

I can't remember the name but you can buy it anywhere. Think you just dump it in and run it in your engine before an oil change. Wheel bearings, or front axle maybe? Maybe raise the front end and spin the wheels and listen for any grinding noises and try to locate it.

Ok everyone I fixed my CD changer. This afternoon i removed the cover (7 little screws) and lubricated everything with silicone (gears,etc.) then drove around and it wouldn't play CD's 1-3. Well after some time I changed all the Cd's and it's working better now, a little slow reading but nonetheless...

My 94 855 Turbo has both OBD's. On the pssngr strut tower it say OBDII certified. I guess Volvo got excited and installed OBDII earlier than most other car makers. ANyone know what code E-02 from the radio means when i try to use the CD changer? Changer is NOT jammed and does eject and fuse is good.
